Google’s search engine optimization efforts have become more of a spotlight in recent months.
The search giant has been taking an aggressive stance against the rampant spam and abusive ads that continue to plague the web.
In June, Google unveiled a new algorithm to ensure that search results will be displayed in the correct manner and with the most appropriate adverts.
Google recently introduced a new “Google Ads” feature that aims to help users navigate the web in a better manner.
However, this new technology is only just beginning to catch on and it has already seen some setbacks in the US.
According to the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC), search engine traffic in the U.S. dropped by more than 10% in June and is expected to decline further.
The FTC said that Google’s latest anti-spam initiative is working well, but there are still plenty of issues to be worked out before Google’s efforts can fully take root in the country.
The agency said that it will continue to monitor the impact of the program on search traffic and will consider taking further action if needed.
