Engineering school and engineering programs are launching in the United States and Canada on Thursday, March 12, 2018.
The new engine is designed to run on virtual machines, not on real hardware, so it will not be affected by the March 2019 shutdown of the world’s most powerful computers.
“The goal of this new generation of engineering is to create high-quality applications that can be developed in real time,” said Kevin Miller, director of engineering for Epic Games, in a statement.

Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney recently announced that the company is adding an additional developer platform, Epic Games for Windows, to its existing Unreal Engine for Windows Platform.
