JAMMU: India, Brazil and China will hold joint “Check Engine” testing of a large engine, a joint statement by India and China said today, in the latest in a string of joint tests between the two countries aimed at improving the safety of their respective industries.

    The three countries will hold their first joint Check Engine Test on September 11, 2020, in New Delhi, the statement said.

    The joint test is being undertaken by the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MCA) of India, the Ministry for National Defense of China and the State-Owned Enterprises of India (SOEs).

    The MCA has submitted an application for the test to the Chinese Aviation Safety Institute of China, the MCA said in a statement.

    The tests will be carried out by the two nations’ respective national air accident prevention departments, the ministry said.
